LIMITED WARRANTY CONDITIONS

We warrant that during the specific warranty period set forth below, the respective OMTech product purchased directly from OMTechLaser.com will be free from defects in materials and workmanship. No other warranty, express or implied, is given with respect to the OMTech products purchased. OMTech’s responsibility for defective OMTech products is limited to repair or replacement, as described below, in this Limited Warranty. This limited warranty does not apply to OMTech-branded products purchased from third-party websites such as Amazon or eBay.

NEW LASER MACHINES

The limited warranty will be applied and upheld on all new laser machines purchased from OMTechLaser.com, starting from the date of order fulfillment as follows:

  • 2-year warranty on machine parts and hardware (exclusions apply)
  • 1-year warranty on laser tubes and power supplies of 70W and up;
  • 6-month warranty on laser tubes and power supplies 40W—60W.

OMTECH CERTIFIED (REFURBISHED) LASER MACHINES

The limited warranty will be applied and upheld on all OMTech Certified (refurbished) machines purchased from OMTech, starting from the date of order fulfillment as follows:

For OMTech CO2 Laser Machines:

  • Great: 1-year warranty on machine parts and hardware, 3-month warranty on laser tubes and power supplies
  • Good: 6-month warranty on machine parts and hardware, 3-month warranty on laser tubes and power supplies
  • Functional: 3-month warranty on machine parts and hardware, 1-month warranty on laser tubes and power supplies


For OMTech Fiber Laser Machines:

  • Great: 1-year parts warranty on pre-owned fiber laser machines
  • Good: 6-month parts warranty on pre-owned fiber laser machines
  • Functional: 3-month parts warranty on pre-owned fiber laser machines

    WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS

    Any and all OMTech limited warranties will NOT be applied or upheld on the specific machine parts listed below:

    • Transparent Acrylic Cover/Protective Hood
    • Debris Collection System/Catch Tray
    • X & Y-Axis Gantry Rails/Guide Rails
    • All Access Doors
    • Base of the Machine/Leg Stand

    CONTACT US FOR WARRANTY SERVICE

    To obtain warranty service, you must contact our technical support center for replacement parts or assistance at techsupport@omtechlaser.com during the warranty period for the defective part. In your email, include the name on your original order and order number. Provide pictures of the damage and a detailed explanation.

    THE ABOVE LIMITED WARRANTY IS SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS:

    1. With respect to any defective product or part during the respective warranty period, OMTech will, in its sole discretion, provide a replacement for the defective part free of charge. Any repair or replacement does not extend the warranty given hereunder and no new warranty is given for such replacement or repair parts. 

    2. This warranty does not cover returns, refunds, or exchanges of any kind.  For returns, refunds, or exchanges, see the separate return/refund policy page.  This limited warranty only applies to machine parts in need of repair or replacement.

    3. This limited warranty is non-transferable and extends only to products distributed and/or sold by OMTech to the original purchaser only.

    4. Any after-market additions or modifications will not be warranted.  The laser machine system owner is responsible for any service and repairs outside the scope of this warranty.

    5. This warranty does NOT cover any 3rd party products sold by OMTech, such as American Photonics and Filtrabox products. 3rd party products sold by OMTech are subject to any warranty offered by the original manufacturer.

    6. This warranty covers only the normal use of the laser machine. OMTech shall not be liable under this limited warranty if any damage or defect results from:

      1. Irresponsible use, abuse, neglect, accidental damage, modification, improper return shipping, or faulty installation, including but not limited to:

        1. Failure to use an OMTech supplied water cooling pump or water cooling chiller; 

        2. Failure to turn on or use clean distilled water within the chiller or water pump;

        3. Failure to clean optical mirrors and lenses;

        4. Failure to clean or lubricate guide rails with white lithium grease;

        5. Failure to remove or clean debris from inside the machine; and

        6. Failure to properly store or operate the laser in a properly conditioned environment as specified in the “Location” section of your machine’s user manual.

      2. Disasters such as fire, flood, lightning, or improper electric current;

      3. Service or alteration by anyone other than an authorized OMTech representative;

    7. OMTech and its technical support center accept no responsibility for any software programs, data, or information stored on any media or any parts of any products returned to OMTech for any reason.

    8. This warranty does not cover any third-party software or virus-related problems, even if such third-party software was purchased from OMTech.

    9. OMTech is not responsible for loss of data, loss of work time, or loss of business due to machine failure, defects, malfunction, hardware failure, or product issues of any kind, even if such product faults are covered by OMTech's warranty. Clients are responsible for backing up any data for their own protection. OMTech is not responsible for any loss of work (“downtime”) caused by a product requiring service.

    10. OMTech does not sell any purpose-built machine products. OMTech is not responsible for any manner in which our products and services are designed and integrated with your business. We expressly disclaim all implied warranties, including without limitation the warranties on merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

    11. OMTech agrees to absorb Ground Shipping Costs for Warranty Replacement Items that are shipped to or from the states of the Australia.  We may offer the ability for clients to upgrade to expedited shipping for the cost difference, which will be invoiced and charged to the client prior to shipment. International shipping costs, customs fees are the responsibility of the client.

    12. OMTech does not currently offer any extended warranty on OMTech products. OMTech, at its own discretion, reserves the right to deny the purchase of any extended warranty, maintenance contract, etc.

    13. THE REMEDIES DESCRIBED ABOVE ARE YOUR SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDIES AND OMTECH’S ENTIRE LIABILITY FOR ANY BREACH OF THIS LIMITED WARRANTY. OMTECH’S LIABILITY SHALL UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES EXCEED THE ACTUAL AMOUNT PAID BY YOU FOR THE DEFECTIVE PRODUCT, NOR SHALL OMTECH UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES BE LIABLE FOR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES OR LOSSES, WHETHER DIRECT OR INDIRECT. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

    14. OMTech may change the availability of this limited warranty at its discretion, but any changes will not be retroactive.

    15. OMTech is only responsible for the shipping of the unit to its address destination provided by customers. We are not responsible or liable for any further logistical arrangements made by customers after delivery has been made, any logistical damages made after will result in a voided warranty.

    Exchanges (if applicable)

    We only replace items if they are defective or arrive severely damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same product, send us an email at support@omtechlaser.au and send your item to:

    If an exchange for a brand-new item still in the box occurred after purchased and shipped for a postdate discounted price and or promotional product. Customer will be responsible for the restocking fees and cover all shipping cost.

    POST-WARRANTY SUPPORT

    After the designated warranty period expires, OMTech is no longer responsible for any costs associated with replacement parts and repairs, including shipping charges. The customer is responsible for all costs of repairs, replacement parts, and shipping charges on out-of-warranty products. OMTech can provide a quote for the necessary parts and repairs.
